The Zeal Of The Father for His Children (part 1)
I was journaling this morning and I asked The Father what was on His heart. It left me deeply inspired and encouraged and I pray that it has the same effect on you. Let there be courage in your heart, a hope that ever expands into a legacy of faith and wonder for generations to come. May your eyes be enlightened to see God as He intends you to see Him and subsequently may you see yourself as His image bearer on this earth, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
“I love you guys so much.
One of the most tragic things to Me is when my loved ones live with a tragically low view of themselves.
When you see yourselves as weak, stupid. flawed, ugly, powerless, etc.
It breaks my heart because that isn’t how I made you.
I created you as one who reflects my nature. You were made to reflect:
The Image of God Almighty, All-Powerful
The Image of God The Provider
The Image of God The Creator
The Image of The Architect of All Existence
The Image of The Genesis of All Beauty
The Image of Perfect Love That Casts Out All Fear
I…
made you…
to reflect…
My Image.
A low view of yourself is the same as having a low view of Me.
It goes both ways. Nothing is impossible with me and I AM with you. I will never leave you or forsake you and I will also not passively watch my loved ones waste themselves on delusions of inferiority.
So I put you in front of giants.
I put you in front of circumstances that seem impossible….
To help remind you of who you are.
Whatever impossible thing in front of you is there because
it’s time to remember…
who you are.
The fact that you’re intimidated tells us that you forgot.
I made you to rule over the creation in collaboration with Me.
You are subservient to this earth only as a king.
Not a slave, a pauper or as one who is inferior to anything or anyone.
You are my child. You are my loved one.
You are my Image on this earth.
So face the giant like it’s your destiny.
You are here because the victory will remind you of who I made you to be in every area you need it most.
God is The Father. He deals with us as with sons. He knows who we are and is committed to loving us into the fullness. Those who He loves, He corrects. He uses the trials we face to grow us into the bright ones He made us to be. James 1 speaks of the end result of this correction, this fathering from God. It’s unto us being “perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”
That’s where He wants us. That’s His will for our lives.
Perfect and complete and lacking nothing……
the way it was in Eden.
The way we are in Christ.
The way it is in The Father’s house.
The way it was with Solomon before he gave in to the same self-sabotage as Adam and Eve.
The finished work of Jesus secured victory over sin and restored us to freedom and we stand, as Adam and Eve stood and what made them experience less than their created design is the same thing that will derail us too.
They were deceived into questioning that they were “like God”.
They were led down a logic-path who’s axiom was a delusion.
They were deceived into believing that they need to engage in self-effort to be like God…
…as if they were their own creation.
They reached for knowledge to make them like God.
They took action based on the perception of lack.
We traded
Life for knowledge
Trust for suspicion
Shalom for anxiety
Abundance for the delusion of lack
We traded a garden for us to tend and keep to a world we had to beat into submission.
We chose to make that exchange and God honored it but He isn’t done fathering us.
He doesn’t give up that easily.
We may have chosen the orphan path for ourselves but He never will participate.
He is always going to pursue us and lead us into the pathway that leads us back home.
Back to fellowship and rest.
Back to the image bearer He made us to be.
Back to the throne on His right hand that Jesus’ finished work provided for us.
Back to the royalty of The Father’s house.
And He’ll keep putting giants in front of us until the giants become our bread.
Until we remember……
That we were made to eat like kings.
